The Wind Farm Site is located about 25 km north of Phan Thiet city center, in Hong Phong communes, Bac Binh district in Binh Thuan province, Vietnam. The Project is located on Bau Dien hill in a low shrub forest area. The project is in close proximity of Provincial Road 715 and also is close to the Mui Ne tourist area.
Hong Phong 1 Wind Farm consists of 8 GE Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) type 5-158. Each WTG has a tower height of 121m and rotor diameter if 158m. Each one installed on a specifically constructed hardstand platform (area approximately 1,500m2) which can be accessed directly from an internal road system. The Wind Farm consists of the WTGs, the associated foundations and civil works and electrical system, Substation, Transmission Line, SCADA, lines, cabling, buildings, roads and all other fixed plant, machinery and equipment at the Site.
